Welcome back! Today’s blog post is about Bournemouth.
I’m currently on the train there as we speak… It is genuinely my happy place. I love it there. The first time I went to bournemouth was about 3 or 4 years ago. So much happens at home and I needed somewhere to go that would allow me to relax and take a break from all the madness in London. If you live or have ever lived in London you will know how absolutely manic it is here. Even the simplest of things can be made more gruelling or challenging. Bournemouth was my release. I’ve always gone on my own so I can take a real break from everything and everyone. Whenever I tell people that I go to Bournemouth on my own they are always shocked and don’t quite understand, but I don’t do it for people to understand. I do it for me and to be honest thats all that really matters.
Every time I go I stay in a different hotel, this time I’m staying at the Sea Front Travel Lodge… I know its not particularly fancy or anything but I only paid 30-something quid for two nights… awesome right? Ha the beauty of Black Friday deals! I’m not totally sure what my plan is this time around, I might go to the aquarium and see the new penguin enclosure… the last time I was there they were building it and now its finished! I’ll more than likely go to town and do some shopping… So typical right?
One of the main reasons I love Bournemouth is because they honestly live a different lifestyle. Everyone is so relaxed and chilled out compared to London, people are generally happier too. I can walk down the road and have 2 or 3 people say good morning to me and that totally lifts my mood. Another reason is the sea. The sea calms me. I don’t know if it’s the waves or the air or the sounds but it really makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. I can walk for hours along the beach and not get bored. How incredible is that?
Bournemouth is my home away from home and it makes me so happy to be able to go there.
I’ll do a little diary whilst I’m there!
